SELECTIONS 1, 3, & 5 WILL BE ADJUDICATED. NUMBERS 2 & 4 ARE FILLERS. CONCERT BAND DO NOT PERFORM ANY FILLER
Each Band will be allowed 30 minutes for performance and on and off stage.
Each Band will prepare (3) three large brown envelopes with (3) Conductor’s Score and (4) blank 60-minute cassette tapes. Present these envelopes to the above named appropriate coordinator at the Annual Meeting or make arrangements with coordinator for other transfer. Option; Include brief band biography: comments, not to exceed 3 minutes. Will be used by Master of Ceremonies or person of your choice prior to your competition performance.
Dixieland & Ensembles; prepared scores not requires however, Dixieland present four (4) blank 60-minute cassette tapes.
Ensembles (1) Tape.
German & Polka Bands prepare 1st Trumpet Part (if no score available) plus (4) blank 60-minutes cassette tapes.
German Band Instrumentation (variations permitted) Tenor Saxophone, Bass Horn, Baritone Horn, 2 Bb Clarinets, 2 Trombones, 2 Trumpets, Alto or French Horn, Drums. (score see German and Polka Bands) (4) blank 60 minute cassette tapes required.
Polka Band instrumentation (variations permitted) Tenor Saxophone, (w/alternate Clarinets), String Bass, or Bass Horn, Keyboard, Accordion or Concertina, Trumpet, Drums.(score see German and Polka Bands) (4) blank 60 minute cassette tapes required.
Dixieland Band Instrumentation (variations permitted) Bb Clarinets, Trumpet or Flugelhorn, Tenor Saxophone, Trombone, Drums, String Bass or Bass Horn, Keyboard, Banjo, or Accordion
Dance Bands play standard tempos for Ballroom Dancing.
Show Bands feature sit-down entertainment. Instrumentation (variations permitted) 3 to 5 saxes, 2 to 5 trumpets, 1 to 5 trombones, string bass or bass horn, keyboard or accordion, drums. Prepare (3) three large brown envelopes with (3) Conductor’s Score
